TEHRAN – Judiciary spokesman Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejei on Monday called on Interpol to arrest and hand over Mahmoud Reza Khavari, the former managing director of Bank Melli, who fled to Canada after the $2.6 billion financial fraud case was uncovered.
A number of arrested suspects in the case have made confessions against Khavari and it would be better if he returns to Iran so that it would become clear what percent of the confessions are true, Mohseni-Ejei stated.
